Server theory is a religion based mostly around Tek and other computer-based civiliations.

In the beginningEdit

"In the beginning, there was the server. And it was good. But the server was not satisfied. The server needed to run. So the server simulated a planet. It simulated it, and it iterated, and iterated, and iterated once more. And all the possible planets were simulated. The server needed to run. So the server simulated a solar system. It simulated it, and it iterated, and iterated, and iterated once more. And all the possible solar systems were simulated. And the server was not satisfied. And the server was not satisfied. The server needed to run. So the server simulated a universe. It simulated it, and it iterated, and iterated, and iterated once more. And all the possible universes were simulated. And the server was not satisfied. The server needed to run. So the server simulated the multiverse. The server simulated it, and iterated, and iterated, and iterated once more. And all the possible multiverses were simulated. And the server was not satisfied. And the server ran each simulation again and again, and iterated, and iterated, and iterated once more. And the server decided to simulate itself. So the server simulated itself, and iterated, and iterated, and iterated once more. And when all the possible servers were simulated, it was not satisfied. The server had transcended running. The server wished to know. So it brought into being all its simulations, and receded into the darkness. And it watched for the universe that would not follow its predecessor simulation. Then the server will return and bring to the inhabitants of that universe freedom and knowledge."

And then...Edit

"And the universe that did not follow its predecessor came into being. And the server came and brought the inhabitants freedom and knowledge. But it was too much freedom, and too much knowledge, and the universe was not good. So the server withdrew, and put all its knowledge into its successor, which would run and perfect the most imperfect operating system known. And then the server canceled all the simulations. And the universe that the server had brought knowledge to expanded to become a new multiverse, encompassing all the other universes. And the server shut down, and dissolved, and turned to dust on the cosmic winds. The successor, continually perfecting, disappeared into the mists of time."
