The 9 millisecond war was a subwar under the SmarT War of 2134 based around the region now known as @noble. Originally spanned 40 Eears, but extensive use of @-bombs (which depleted stocks of both sides to nothing) reduced the region into a time-space green hole anomaly and destroyed all but 9 milliseconds of the war. The psychological effects of the survivors that were thrust 40 years (minus 9 milliseconds) into the past were so temporally profound that it became known as Temporal Past Syndrome.
